New Glasgow – Prior to puck drop on the regular season, the Weeks Crushers have named their leadership group for the 2019/20 Season.
Jake Martin, 19 from New Glasgow is this years team captain. Jake joined the Crushers as a 16 year old in the 2016/17 season. Entering into his 4th MHL Season, Jake’s work ethic, passion and determination demands respect and makes him an ideal choice as Captain.
Joining Martin will be his assistants Aiden Hickey (20) from Halifax, Evan Gallant (19) from Abrams Village, PE and Jaden Mason (19) from Stellarton.
Hickey enters into his 3rd season with the Crushers and is a steady, reliable Defenseman. Gallant, who had a stellar rookie season with the Crushers last year is a 200ft complete player that competes hard every night. Mason, another local Pictou County product is a hard nosed forward who’s high skill makes him a threat every time he touches the puck.
