Billet Program

WEEKS JUNIOR A CRUSHERS BILLET PROGRAM

Junior hockey players make many sacrifices to play at this level. Often, one of those sacrifices is being away from home.

Billet families ease the transition for the players by providing a secure, stable, and supportive home environment, which allows the player to focus on hockey and their education.

Billet families are an important resource to junior hockey teams across North America and play a crucial role in the success of the Weeks Junior A Crushers.

The Weeks Junior A Crushers are currently looking for billet families in the Pictou County area who are willing to opening their doors to one of our players. Billet families provide a support system and safe home for players throughout the season. Whether it’s preparing nutritious meals or simply offering a space for players to escape the rigours of hockey, billet families are vital to the team’s on-ice success.

Billets can be two-parent families, empty-nesters, or single-parent families.

BILLET EXPECTATIONS:

Provide a room for the player with closet space, a bed, and a dresser.

Provide nutritious meals and snacks.

Laundry. To be determined between the billet and player.

Provide a supportive family home environment.

Helping the player feel that this is their home away from home.

A love of hockey!

BENEFITS FOR BILLET FAMILIES:

Billeting enables you to be part of the hockey community. Being there for the player, sharing the triumphs and disappointments in a hockey season gives you a unique perspective.

Billeting offers a wonderful experience that creates lifetime bonds and a chance to support a young athlete in their quest to fulfill their dreams.
