The Weeks Crushers Jr A Hockey Club in partnership with the Pictou County Wellness Centre are very pleased to announce that one of hockey’s biggest personalities, Brian Burke will be the keynote speaker for a reception and dinner on September 18th,2018. As part of the evening, the Crushers will unveil their Team Captains for the 2018/19 season.
Most recently working with Sportsnet during their coverage of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Burke carried many roles in the hockey world, he has been the President of Hockey Operations for the Calgary Flames, he has also served as President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and as the General Manager of the Anaheim Ducks (winning the Stanley Cup in 2007), the Vancouver Canucks, and the Hartford Whalers. He was also the General Manger of the US Men’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.
