Campbellton NB – The Pictou County Weeks Jr A Crushers added 10 new prospects over the weekend at the MHL Draft hosted by the City of Campbellton, NB. The day started with a trade that saw the Crushers trade the 12th overall pick in round one to the Grand Falls Rapids for the 22nd overall pick, the 51st overall pick and the 90th overall pick.
With the 22nd overall pick the Crushers selected forward Nash Haverstock from the Halifax Macs. A gritty versatile forward with a nose for the net. Along with Haverstock, the Crushers selected defensemen Liam Worth and Porter Kalyta from the March & Mill Co Hunters, goaltender Rogan O’Brien from the Central Impact, forwards Jake MacInnis (CB West Islanders), Liam MacLeod (Sydney Rush) & Raphael Cyr (Northern Moose), defenseman Jack Boone from the Central Impact and teammates Brycen Jardine (f) and Matt Cameron(d) from the New Hampshire Mountain Lions. Prior to the Draft, the Crushers also selected Jack Cameron and Lawrence Williams from the Weeks U18 Majors.
