Ryan Fortune (game winner) opened the scoring at 2:35 to give the
Crushers a 1-0 lead. Jeremy Sheppard scored at 4:52 to extend the lead
to 2-0. Noseworthy scored at 9:53 to increase the lead to 3-0 after the
first period. Noseworthy (second goal of game) scored at 4:44 to widen
the lead to 4-0. Matt Anthony scored at 11:22 to extend the lead to 5-0
after the second period. Little (unassisted) rounded out the scoring at
6:00.
Pictou County went 0 for 7 on the powerplay while Restigouche went 0 for 3.
Alex Newman stopped all 16 shots for the shutout victory while Stefan
Dumaresque (40:00) stopped 28 of 33 shots in the loss before being
relieved by Nicholas Spears. Spears (20:00) stopped 10 of 11 shots the
rest of the way.
