Crushers add Briden Cohen as an Assistant Coach

The Weeks Jr A Crushers are pleased to announce that Briden Cohen will be joining the team as an assistant coach.

An HP1 certified coach, Cohen has spent a number of seasons coaching in Hockey Nova Scotia’s High Performance Program and most recently was Head Coach of the Fundy Highland U15AAA Female Program that hosted Atlantics in 2022.

As a player she represented the province of Nova Scotia several times, played Division 1 Prep Hockey (Kimball Union Academy) and NCAA Division 1 hockey (St. Lawrence University) in the United States. Briden was also part of the High Performance Female Hockey Program at the Olympic Oval in Calgary, Alberta under the National Team in 1996.

Professionally, Briden works as a registered Psychologist and has her own consulting business working with athletes in Mental Performance.

Briden possesses a unique, diverse, and passionate skillset for her role in the game. As a former player and coach in both the men’s and women’s game throughout her life, she has a unique perspective and resilience that is invaluable in relating to players both on and off the ice.
