Crushers name Lambke and Peters Assistant Coaches.

New Glasgow, NS – Crushers Head Coach Willie MacDonald will be joined behind the bench this season by Garrett Lambke and Kieran Peters.

Lambke, an Antigonish native is no stranger to the Crushers. He suited up for three seasons with the team and played a big role in the Crushers 2016 MHL Championship. After his playing career Lambke served as assistant coach for two seasons with the Antigonish Major Bantam Novas before joining the CB West Islanders of the NSU18HL.

Peters, a New Glasgow native and a Weeks U18 Majors alumnus played at the Hill Academy as well as Brighton Academy before playing 4 seasons at Assumption University (NCAA III). During his time at Assumption he won a Northeast-10 conference championship while also serving as an assistant captain in his fourth year.

“I am very excited to work with Garrett and Kieran. I was lucky enough to play with Garrett during my time with the Crushers and after getting to know Kieran they’ll definitely both bring great energy to the rink everyday, along with very quality hockey minds” says Head Coach Willie MacDonald.

“Both Garrett and Kieran are passionate young coaches who compliment Willie very well” says Crushers GM Chad McDavid. “We are excited to have both of them join the organization and work with our players this season.”
