Crushers Hockey School
The Weeks Pictou
County Crushers will hold its annual hockey school at the John Brother
MacDonald Stadium from August 16th to 20th. The school will
feature many of the Crushers returning players as well as coaches and
special guests. This year's theme is a day in the life of a
crusher. "We are hoping to show the kids what it would be like
to be on the Crushers team" said Head Coach Troy Dumville. "
It’s no secret that I would love to see more local kids on this team and
we are hoping that sharing our experiences and showing the kids what it
takes to play for the Crushers will enhance our local content in years
to come".
The school will run from 830am
until 530pm daily and will feature two ice sessions daily as well as gym
and pool time at the YMCA. The program will also feature
information sessions for the kids on nutrition, injury prevention and
office conditioning as well as guest speakers throughout the
week.
The school will accept
applications on first come first serve basis.
The cost of
the week will be $270 with an option for lunch for an additional
$30.
