New General Manager and Head Coach
The Weeks Junior A Crushers of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League are pleased to announce the signing of Troy Dumville as their new General Manager and Head Coach. After a year as assistant general manager and assistant coach with the Saint John Sea Dogs Dumville was the general manager of Dieppe franchise for six years, the last four of which he served as head coach.
Wade Taylor, President of the Crushers, states “Troy is a significant addition to our hockey program and we are excited to be able to add someone who has a great deal of passion for the game and has a proven track record within our league. His experience and knowledge as a general manager is unparalleled in our league, and we look forward to his recruiting and securing a strong draft this year to supplement a very good nucleus of returning players. Troy led his hockey teams to the playoffs in each of his 6 years in Dieppe culminating in being a Fred Page Cup finalist this year, which has him hungry to return to that level again.”
Dumville comments, "I am looking forward to coming to a strong hockey community and building on a team that has a tremendous core of players returning. These were important factors in coming to Pictou County and I look forward to continuing the team's commitment to developing players and enhancing the organization's commitment to the community."
